Amy Ariganello is an intellectual property lawyer at Dipchand LLP, where she advises clients on a broad range of IP matters, including trademark prosecution and enforcement, copyright protection, patent prosecution and litigation, brand management, and licensing agreements. She supports businesses, entrepreneurs, and innovators throughout the lifecycle of their intellectual property rights, from preparing filing strategies to assisting with portfolio management and dispute resolution.

Amy’s strong interest in innovation and her background in chemical engineering suits her to working closely with clients across a variety of industries, including technology, energy, consumer products, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, and manufacturing. Prior to joining Dipchand, she worked at a boutique intellectual property firm in Toronto, where she gained hands-on experience with both the transactional and litigious aspects of intellectual property law.

Amy completed her Bachelor of Engineering with Distinction at Toronto Metropolitan University prior to obtaining her JD at the University of Toronto. During law school, she was a peer mentor and a researcher at the Future of Law Lab, where she researched and wrote a paper on the significant role that intellectual property law plays in the fulfillment of international environmental agreements and the efficacy of patents in promoting the conservation of biodiversity on an international scale. 

Amy’s curiosity and dedication to learning goes beyond her professional endeavours. She is passionate about learning new languages, tackling complex baking recipes, and exploring a wide range of literature. She also enjoys live music, travel, and playing volleyball, all of which reflect her well-rounded approach to both her professional and personal life.
