Experience

Zach Nickels, an associate at Dipchand LLP, advises clients on a growing variety of intellectual property issues, contentious and otherwise.

He actively resolves IP infringement disputes in his intellectual property practice and advises clients on practical strategies for protecting their intangible assets. Zach is also an essential part of our IP litigation team supporting Dipchand LLP’s representation of clients in disputes before the Federal Court of Canada and the Ontario Superior Court of Justice’s Small Claims Court and Commercial List.

Zach’s corporate solicitor practice involves advising clients on commercial relationships involving IP as well as various contractual and privacy considerations.

Prior to obtaining his JD from Western University, Zach completed his BHK (Hons. Movement Science) at the University of Windsor and an MSc in Integrative Biosciences at Western University. During his time in law school, Zach was a student coordinator at the Western Law’s Dispute Resolution Centre, competed in several competitions, including the 2019 Donald G.H. Bowman National Tax Moot, for which he was awarded Top Respondent Factum and was the recipient of the 2019 Tim Edgar Memorial Award. His experience and love of learning in multiple disciplines provide Zach with the interdisciplinary approaches to problem-solving that our clients depend on.
