Experience

Harleen is an intellectual property (IP) lawyer and Registered Patent and Trademark Agent who values strategically and thoughtfully guiding clients across the full spectrum of IP rights. Her experience includes securing and leveraging trademark, patent, industrial design, and copyright systems for a range of clients, from early-stage start-ups seeking seed funding to established large market-cap multinational companies.

Harleen’s experience highlights include working closely in a team for a top-five global luxury fashion house, counseling clients in health and wellness industries, working collaboratively on leading banking and finance portfolios, advising on various consumer goods, and guiding innovators through their legal journey. In doing so, Harleen counsels clients on defining, protecting, and commercializing their integral IP assets.

Prior to moving from the US, Harleen qualified to practice law in New York and earned a Biomedical Engineering degree. She harnesses these credentials to bring a technically sophisticated and international view to her practice to pragmatically and resourcefully assist clients in essential global jurisdictions.

Harleen’s enduring curiosity has led her to publish and present on several emerging technologies, including AI, web3, digital and virtual asses, and NFTs. She proudly serves as a member of the award-winning AI and Emerging Technologies Committee for the Intellectual Property Owners Association. She also regularly contributes to Lexis Practice Advisor, a prominent industry resource for practitioners in the trademark field.

Outside of her legal practice, Harleen has previously mentored for the Women’s Legal Mentorship Program, served as a panelist for the Women’s Network Re-Envision conference, and advanced pro bono causes, including The Shoe Project, a platform for immigrant women to share their journeys through artistic performance.
